Custom built subsea ROVs based on the BlueROV2

Concept Design

CAD Modeling

Computer-aided design (CAD) allows the creation of accurate and realistic representations of ideas using 3D modeling.

The models are not only precise dimensionally, but can calculate weight in air and water. The models are also constructed using individual parts giving the ability to fully cost the complete design.

This process not only reduces the time and cost, but also helps to minimise errors.

CAD Drawings

Manufacturing Documentation

CAD drawings are a digital representation of the 3D model and are auto generated by the software. As they contain all the parts required to manufacture the final product, they can generate a complete Bill of Materials (BOM), exploded views and subassembly drawings providing assembly and maintenance guides.

Manufacturing

CAM

Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) is the use of CAD to control machinery to automate the manufacturing process.

At MarineSee, we use in house 3D printers to prove a concept design before manufacturing the parts using laser sintering or CNC machining. This not only allows rapid development of new products but reduces waste, errors and cost.
