MarineSee has received a donation of product design and manufacturing software from Autodesk.
This is part of the Autodesk Technology Impact Program aimed at start-up and non-profit companies that are using design for environmental or social good. The free subscription runs for 3 years.
The suite of programs includes Inventor, Fusion 360, 3DS Max and Inventor CAM. This will provide a vital benefit for the design and manufacturing of the complex geometry required for underwater camera tripods and camera housings.
Inventor can output direct to the Ultimaker 3D printer enabling component design to a working prototype in less than a day. Combine this with the included workflow and assembly software and you have a complete design solution.
